University of Virginia student Yeardley Love's death has been ruled a homicide, the state medical examiner's office reports.

Love, 22, died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Love was killed in her home in May. Her ex-boyfriend George Huguely, a former University of Virginia student, has been charged with her murder. Both played lacrosse for the school.

Huguely will next appear in court in October.
