Chelsea Clinton Wedding Update: Chelsea-Mania Hits Rhinebeck

Today in Chelsea Watch: Miss Clinton (soon-to-be Mrs. Mezvinsky) was spotted at the Astor Place Starbucks in NYC yesterday, according to Page Six. She was "in jogging clothes, drinking iced coffee and Smart Water, texting and talking on her BlackBerry about her upcoming wedding." The source noted the "huge rock on her finger," of course.

The New York Daily News reports that "Chelsea-mania has hit Rhinebeck," where the former first daughter is said to be getting married. Hotel rooms at the town's Beekman Arms Inn are already all booked up and Clinton and Mezvinsky have reportedly reserved the nearby Grasmere Estate for their rehearsal dinner.

Hmm, I never thought she'd turn out to be much to look at back in her teenage or college years, but it seems she's getting cuter as she gets older. Maybe she's just happy in love, and to have some distance between her and the DC fishbowl.

I picture a wedding dress for Chelsea, especially in this setting, as either a 1930's style with a Juliet cap holding a long or floor length veil, a shimmery satin dress with old lace falling straight to the floor, or, a Jane Austin style dress with flowered wreath holding her long veil. I hope it is not a strapless satin sheathe or a big buffoant (sp?) affair, though I am sure she will look lovely in whatever she chooses.

It is currently owned by Uma Thurman and her hotel developer husband. Billy Joel used to own it, as did Bob Guccione.

Hillary has been documented in photos as having previously worn evening dresses when the occasion required and I am sure she will do so as MOB and look as lovely as any MOB.

I love celeb weddings because of the smiles I see on the brides and guests. Chelsea has been relatively low-keyed compared to her public servant parents. She certainly looks happy. I wish her well.
