Celine Dion Reveals Sex Of Her Twins

Celine Dion announced in May that she was finally pregnant again, with twins, after several rounds of IVF.

Friday she posted the following statement on her website:

Celine first announced the upcoming new additions to the Angelil-Dion family back in May, and now she just revealed that she is expecting twin boys! Congratulations to the happy family!

Celine, 42 and her husband, Rene Angelil, have a 9-year-old son, Rene Charles.

Linda May- I agree with you up to a point. Sure, they might be a bit more tired than younger parents but a child can be abandoned or orphaned-regardless of the age of the parents. My brother had children young but was too selfish and lazy to take proper care of them. My grandmother had her last child-by accident (told she could not get pregnant, don't bother using birth control) at 48 and lived until her late eighties. You know, everybody is different and she tried for many years to have another child-good for her.
Btw-why do we have such a judgemental society? People are free to make their own choices...

I am happy for Celine and her husband, BUT ..... having children at such a late age to me is selfishness. THEY wanted more children. Did they think of the child? When the twins are graduating high school in 18 years, their parents will be 86 & 60 years old. If they live that long. Why do you want to bring children into the world if you're not their for them. I was lucky enough to have my parents for 58 years. I can't imagine going through life without them for guidance & support. I just wish people at this age would reconsider having babies at this age. If I have offended anyone, sorry.

It's different for the very wealthy. Celine will have all the help she can possibly need and more. Those boys will be raised by nannies much younger than Celine.

Wow, this is what moved you to take the time to post?

Their first child, Rene Charles, looked like a boy with long hair -- long hair indicative of his father's Syrian heritage. He loved it as he grew up, and chose to keep it long and down by choice. It's since been cut, and he's still the same cute little guy. Please try to climb out of your cultural and gender biases. Or maybe just tone down the nasty a bit.

I don't make a habit of applauding anyone for having lots of kids (with the planet already stressed for resources and all), but putting that aside, Celine and Rene' do seem like nice people who actually have a wonderful relationship with the community that is their extended family. I've spoken to some folks who've worked for them, and they speak very highly of their kindness and caring nature.

Wow, you took the time to defend these people?! The kid looked like a girl and yes, maybe they should have adopted since she couldn't get pregnant naturally - who cares, it was my opinion and I imagine I am not the only one who thought the same thing...
