So, you've lost the weight. But now you're faced with another problem: how to deal with people who are envious of your weight loss.
Author Geneen Roth addressed this question on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Your weight is nobody else's business, she said. She suggested telling friends and family, in a nice and gentle way: "It's my body and I'm taking care of it, thank you."
You have to be comfortable, accepting and loving enough of yourself that you don't have to apologize to anybody for being "full of yourself," said Oprah. The notion that women have that it's bad to be full of yourself needs rethinking.
"What you really want is to be so full of yourself, that your cup runneth over, so that you can give to other people," she said.
