Carrie Underwood Wedding

Make no mistake: Carrie Underwood means business when it comes to getting her groove on.

For her July 10 wedding to Canadian hockey player Mike Fisher, 30, the country queen, 27, opted for a Chantilly lace and silk organza Monique Lhuillier gown. But after the ceremony, the bride promptly changed into a strapless Lhuillier cocktail dress.

Isn't Carrie Underwood on the tiny side (like 5'3" or 5'4"ish)? What was she doing in a "huge" gown?

Half a million dollars on a wedding. I'll bet people in Haiti or the Gulf States could have used some of that.
Amazing how "Christians" spend so much money on themselves. Bah!

I am all for charity, but I would guess that the caterers, florists, designers etc that she paid that money to are grateful for the business and happy to be able to pay their employees and keep their businesses above water.

You really need a life if you get excited over someone else's wedding other than a relative or personal friend.

Who the hell cares? So she's rich and can by gawdy.

Big friggin deal

Underwood is a beautiful woman, but man do those wedding outfits look tacky and garish...

Way too much splash for me. I do have to chuckle though because it was her terrible wardrobe selections when she appeared on Idol that made her seem so very backward without any polish. Now she is always perfectly coiffed and a trend setter with fairly conservative taste. This transformation happened pretty darn fast. It is amazing what a stylist and money can do for a gal.

I agree, thank you for the comment, weddings always seem to have some sort of 1800's burlesque flavor to them - so most weddings look garish - there is a reason white is rare in day to day fashion

to be a cultural icon you kind of have to be more mainstream than her, it's a bit of a grand label your giving her...
