Rangel Ethics Investigation Enters Third Year

It has been 728 days since Rep. Charlie Rangel publicly appealed for an ethics investigation into his own actions. He's still awaiting the outcome.

The New York Democrat, who has paid more than $1.5 million to date on legal fees, faces a multipronged investigation into his personal finances, living arrangements, fundraising efforts and even his use of a House parking space.

Marion Barry was busted and RETURNED to office by voters. Charlie Ragnel is a man liked by both sides of the isle for his ability to bring the left to the center and the right to the center when noone wants to budge. He has the people skills. I think both sides lose out by not having him finished with this. They will do what they do. We all know the guy is not perfect. I have never heard anyone in Western NY Buffalo / Niagara Falls say anything bad about him ever and that is rare.

I am not perfect. You are not perfect. My mom is not perfect (well, she may in fact be). Rangel is a crooked, criminal politician and abuser of the very system he oversees. If this were a GOP member, you would rightly call for his head.

He is not well-liked. He is a crook.
