Sunflowers seeds, I love them. Just got through eating some from a 14.5 oz bag. I take my sunflower seeds seriously. For a quick visual--the bag is half the size of my laptop screen.

Watermelon, Kale and non-fat yogurt are no secrets to some of us. Watermelon is rich in nutrients and taken out of the freezer is better than sorbet. Non-fat yogurt substitutes for mayonnaise, for those of us that find mayonnaise absolutely disgusting (how do you like your eggs? Not at all, please). Kale and leafy greens - we all know the health benefits.

Chick peas and sunflower seeds? I'm not particularly caring if they are good for me since I have every intention of enjoying the foods I eat and those two won't ever reside on my menu.

Love all of these, too.
Except the picture w/ the garbanzo beans -- NOT a good idea. Progresso's soup cans contain BPA, so guessing the beans would probably contain BPA as well. Yucko.

Garbanzo beans are one form of bean I won't be eating. I get plenty of beans in the south in the form of red beans and rice or black beans.

Garbanzo's make me shudder. Ick.

LOL no humus for you then, I gather? :-)
LOVE red beans and rice! Also eat a lot of black beans, Sonoran style.

Love all of them, though watermelons are so expensive here (about 8$ for a small round melon).

OK, you got me. I didn't want to ask, but where do you live? Smuggling in okra seeds, eight-dollar melons--you're not in Kansas anymore, that's for sure.

We have enough okra growing in our garden to hand out to the neighbors, their neighbors and people that don't even live here.

I'm only a fan when it is included in gumbo, but here, everyone else eats it fried.

I enjoy sunflower seeds in trail mix. The, "underrated garbanzo beans," are easy enough to eat and enjoy in either a bean salad or hummus.

I only see one item on the list here: The Chicago Tribune. Didn't even know it was edible.

I'd click through for the real list, but I read the post below this one.
01:21 PM on 07/16/2010
The Chicago Trib lists garbanzo beans, watermelon, unsweetened yogurt, sunflower seeds, leafy greens. I'm guessing that most of these foods usually do end up as part of your diet, but maybe sunflower seeds would be more in the snack category.

try them on top of a salad, or dip cucumber sticks in them.
