Train Crash, Alec Baldwin, Glimmerglass, Diva: Get Out of Town

DIVERSE ART: Summerscape Festival

Head up the Hudson Valley to Bard College for Odon von Horvath's "Judgment Day."

First seen in 1937 and not much since, the play shows a town ripped apart by a sexy lady who distracts a stationmaster, causing a fatal train crash.

When the Nazis entered Austria the next year, young Horvath fled to Paris only to be killed by a falling tree branch.

"Judgment Day" starts off the well-regarded Summerscape Festival run by the college's big-brained president and conductor, Leon Botstein. At 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday.
