Lorenzen Wright Disappearance: Family Suspects Foul Play
The family of Lorenzen Wright, the former NBA first round draft pick who mysteriously vanished last week, believes foul play may have played a role in his disappearance, the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, police say Wright has not been seen since July 18, although his sister claims to have seen him the following day.
"It's like he literally dropped off the face of the earth," Lt. Norm Dixon said.
Despite his family's suspicions, investigators do not believe foul play is involved in Wright's disappearance.
The 6'-11" center spent more than a decade in the NBA with five different teams. The seventh overall pick in the 1996 NBA Draft, Wright most recently played for the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2009.
