The Colorado Independent:

Renfroe is quoted as saying "The EPA shouldn't stick its nose into..." fracking acitivities in states. It's the EPA's job to stick it's nose into matters concerning the protection of the environment. With the exception of the Ritter administration, the state of Colorado has shown itself to be unwilling or unable to stand up to the oil and gas industry. A couple of years ago a nurse in Durango became deathly ill after treating a gasfield worker who had been exposed to onsite chemicals. A couple years before that a gas company was caught dumping contaminated wastewater into the Florida River, an activity for which the state had illegally issued them a permit!

I hope the Denver Post prints this story... it's statewide and this story needs to be told. Or maybe one of the Denver news stations will pick it up. People need to see who owns the Republican party and that they do NOT have our best interests at heart.

If there was any doubt fracking is bad, the letter should seal the deal. Hope voters send these criminals packing next election.
