Well, other online outlets do not reject erotic stories like smashwords.com. So some other outlets do exist. Those authors could also port their Apple ebooks (*.epub format) to a Kindle format and self publish on Amazon.

The great thing is that in the days of paper, erotic or other "forbidden" works could be physically printed but not get into distributors or bookstores. But not now.

I'ts odd that Steve Jobs ( who said the Bill Gates should have dropped acid back in the day to expand his horizons ) would be such a prude with the App store. I have it on good authority that Apple employees in the 80s had sex with everything that moved.
