In the Galápagos Islands, animals found nowhere else on the planet have literally changed the way we think about life on Earth. Which is why the islands have landed atop many travelers’ bucket lists. If it weren’t for the remote location 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador, the archipelago of volcanic islands would likely have been ruined by mass tourism already. The president of Ecuador has talked of capping the number of people allowed to visit each year, and we’re guessing prices will sky rocket once those rules are enforced.
