Barnes & Noble To Put 1,000-Square-Foot Nook Boutiques In All Stores

In September, the chain will begin an aggressive promotion of its Nook e-readers by building 1,000-square-foot boutiques in all of its stores, with sample Nooks, demonstration tables, video screens and employees who will give customers advice and operating instructions.

Everything is moving into digital media, just look at streaming movies and mp3. The digital book is just the next progression in technology. As I understand why some people are taking the defensive to digital books, at this point it's almost silly to take this stance. Digital books have been around for a number of years and have been available on computers and smart phones for a while now. Traditional books will ALWAYS be sold and I don't see those ever going out of print, thankfully. But I do not see the e-reader going away, if for nothing else but the convenience factor.

Why not use that space to sell actual books, seems really stupid..
