Your Weekend To-Do List

First Posted: 07/30/10 03:16 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 06:15 PM ET

Los Angeles is a mecca for food-lovers this weekend. There are workshops on jamming, canning, baking, and even taking photos of your food, but for people who just want to eat, there are block parties, bake sales, wine tastings, and Angeleno magazine's 8th annual restaurant awards. But if you're feeling a little full, you can load up on culture instead: Gustavo Dudamel is conducting Bizet's Carmen at the Hollywood Bowl. We dream of cheesecake, cupcakes, gelato and cream puffs. Thankfully for us, so does Savor Los Angeles. Give in to your sweet tooth while tasting delectable treats, scrumptious vegan offerings and more, all made from high quality and organic ingredients. Try not to drool when you see the list of delicious delicatessens in attendance. No dessert will go to waste as there will be composting (and recycling) on site – how delish! - Sara Roderick

Savor Los Angeles
When: Friday July 30 (7-10pm)
Where: Miauhaus Studios, 1201 South La Brea Ave.
Cost: $35 GA and $55 VIP in advance.
