This video showcases an amazing new interactive mirror that functions like a massive touch-screen, allowing users to paint and draw with the tap of a finger.

The technology was conceptualized by Lit Studios and developed by Interference Incorporated, an innovative marketing company based in the New York City area, that develops interactive technologies for clients "wishing to set themselves apart."

According to the video, there is still no patent on the mirror.

Interference Inc, the guerilla marketing agency that developed the mirror, gained a measure of notoriety in 2007 when it was accused of having engineered the Boston bomb scare, where police thought that small Aqua Teen Hunger Force LED placards were improvised explosive devices. The placards turned out to be part of a marketing publicity stunt for the Cartoon Network--which led many to accuse Boston Police of not following the tech blogosphere closely enough.

If you can't see the applications for something like this your not only blind but uninspired.... probably dead inside too but that's another story.

My mirror used to do that...but that was probably due to the mushrooms.

Where was the "trying on different looks?" I dont wear flowers and splotches of color.. or boobie alien bodies. Big deal, a giant touch screen, which have been around forever, under a mirror like surface....

Interactive digital signage isn't new. Niether are mirrored display surfaces. All told this is free marketing FAIL on HuffPo's part. Do a little research before you post stuff like this, it's nothing special.

it would be awesome to play with this while high

Interactive surfaces aren't new. Having one on a mirrored surface seems to me to be counter productive. It just makes everything more difficult to see. I'm not that interested in seeing myself using the applications. Maybe it's perfect for someone else.

I just read a review of Inception that blasted it for being pointlessly complex. The reviewer said that the movie "didn't make a lick of sense". He thought it was a waste. He didn't like the concepts.

What I couldn't understand was his review. I mean, I got the movie. A lot of people did. The ending ticked me off, but it was a pretty straight-forward movie, for all its various layers. It's not like the movie was "Primer", which is one of the most difficult-to-follow movies I've ever seen, and deliberately so. Compared to Primer, Inception was ham-fisted and obvious.

So when I read some of the comments on this thread, I think about that guy. I guess I am amazed at how many people don't "get" technology, or being creative and innovative simply for the sake of being creative and innovative. So they think it's a pointless waste.

I can't help but feel a bit sorry for this type of person. You're really losing out on a lot of the joy/wonder of living when you view something full of so much possibility and all you see is impracticality and waste.

Cool but can it make a GOP candidate look credible?

No, no, no... THAT would be the MAGIC Mirror!

There's a much simpler way to do this with established technology. You need a touch screen built from a piece of one way glass, with a LCD display hidden behind it. It's just one step beyond the TV hidden behind a mirror wall that I've seen in some up scale homes.
