The Fireside Bowl In 2010: A Punk Dive Grows Up

To most of its patrons, the Fireside Bowl is simply a bowling alley in Logan Square, but not that long ago it was arguably the best punk-rock club in Chicago.

It was falling apart. It was loud. It stank to high heaven. Mushrooms grew out of the wooden bowling lanes. And the men's restrooms had no doors and no seats. It was punk rock to the core.
