Ben Nelson Dont Care

Roll Call:

Sen. Ben Nelson is catching a lot of grief from within his party for being the first Democratic Senator in decades to oppose his president's pick for the Supreme Court. But the Nebraskan is hearing none of it.

"Are they from Nebraska? Then I don't care," a defiant Nelson said Tuesday.

I support Ben Nelson. He has a better understanding of America than President Obama. Otherwise, how could Obama nominate another Jew to the Supreme Court while ignoring the largest religious denomination: Protestants? His nomination smacks of insensitivity and favoritism. In administration favoring one individual or group over other individuals or groups, which is a betrayal of executive responsibility  Read More...

Someone needs to explain to Nelson that he is the US senator from Nebraska not just the money grabber for Nebraska. Since the other 49 states supply the extra federal aid that Nebraskans enjoy, he might try to do what's best for the entire country and he was sworn to do.

I was going to say something very similar, but you said it as well, if not better, than I could.

I'd give anything and do a stint in jail just to snatch that wig off his highness Lord Nelson. Some things are just worth it.

Senator Jon Kyl is also from Nebraska. Is he willing to take that carpetbagger back?

No!, We're well rid of him and Johans and Nelson are more burden than any state should have to bear.

Try this experiment. Send an email to a Senator outside of your state. You will find that they do not accept or read messages from voters outside of their state. Dumb me, thought they were elected to the UNITED STATES Senate. Ben Nelson is telling us the truth. Sad, but true. Our founding fathers figured out that only white men who owned property could vote. Now we have decided that they were wrong, and most everybody can vote including some convicted felons. In this age of communications such as the 24 hour news and internet, and college for girls getting educated, we should have better government. It seems that we do not. Their are many religious atheists, now there is a growing number of political aheists that don't believe there are any politicians that put the welfare of their constituents ahead of their own selfish interests. I confess I am one, Except Bernie Sanders

Call their office and use *67 how will they know you are not from some city or town in that state.

They are in the US Senate representing people from their state. There is nothing wrong with what he said.

Forget the Nebraska part. Ben does not care. Period. As if he cared about Nebraskans' opinions regarding the Court, politics, or anything.

Oh don't go thinking all Nebraskans are happy with old Ben. He's going to be put out the pasture when his number comes up! And I hope he enjoys that because he doesn't deserve to enjoy his retirement. He's made a lot of Nebraskan's lives miserable.
12:59 AM on 08/04/2010
He's telling all other 49 states to eff themselves.

You know, because Nebraska is such an important one...

His decisions effect all of us and he thinks he just works for them! He will be thrown out with the trash in '12 but we still have to pay the creep for the rest of his live. How wrong is that? Who pays us for the rest of our lives. They live in luxury and we have to worry if we can afford the rent or mortgage next month.

He's no Democrat. He's a fraud and probably got paid off to satobage his own country!

Don't like the fact that he opposed Kagan, hate the fact that acts more like a Repub than a Dem. 100% respect the fact that as Senator he is the only one who has told the truth on why he's voting no. We Dems demand that if nothing else our Pols are honest with us we may then disagree and argue the merits but we are now arguing honest merits. I'd rather have Nelson look me in the eye and say your from New York we view things differently than have Kyle and his bunch use the Constitution of the United States are and election prop. Poorly worded it's a little late but I'm hoping you get my point. :)

The far right wing. AKA A special kinda stupid.

While I don't agree with his reason for not voting for Kagan, I do respect his right to such disagreement. The democratic party is a big tent coalition and for better or for worst we won't all agree on everything. I'm sure he has his reasons for not supporting her and he is well within his right to vote accordingly It's sad some want him to leave the party. I'm not too thrilled with her myself which is probably why I'm not faulting him too much although my reasons are different from his. She is going to get confirmed, so it really doesn't matter.

Enough with these Rethuglicans who can only get elected by pretending to be Democrats.

I always thought of Nebraska citizens as friendly cornhuskers. Now, I'm more inclined to think of them as cavemen. Anyone who would support Ben Nelson is not functioning at full brain capacity nor are they anywhere close to enlightenment. Living in the Dark Ages is more like it.

Being from nebraska i should take that comment as offensive but unfortunately it's true. The people here are close-minded and do not believe in change. The state has always been a Rep state and they believe it should remain that way. The sad part is that i hear the same people whoe vote Reps complain about how the state does not provide enough for its people, and how they are tired of going to hospitals and have to pay mountains of bills because they do not have healthcare, and how they are sick of working at Walmart and not making a living, i could gon on all day with that. But they keep voting for the same party and nothing changes. As for Ben Nelson is useless to the Dems and as i mentioned before he should just switch party and join the rightwing nuts. Senator Nelson i have one suggestion for you; stop being a corn fed hypocrite and leave the Dems once and for all.
