In 2012, Crystal Cruises will go around the world in 94 days. The cruise line's 17th annual world cruise will make a rare 3-day overland voyage in Beijing, USA Today has learned.
The Crystal Serenity cruise will leave January 18, 2012 from Los Angeles and make stops in 34 ports, including those in Australia, Indonesia, Southeast Asia, China and Japan. On the way back, the ship will stop in Russia before coming back to Los Angeles via Alaska and British Columbia.
The stop in Beijing will include voyages to the Great Wall, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven. The ship will also make stops in Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong and South Korea and will spend one night in Honolulu, Sydney, Perth, Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai, Osaka and Yokohama.
No word yet on pricing, which will be revealed later this year.
