Action stars from The Expendables swarmed Grauman's Chinese Theater last night for the world premiere of the film. Hollywood Reporter describes the scene: "Stars stopping traffic, men with muscles, arm candy ... it was almost like the 1980s were back on Hollywood Boulevard"
Some musclebound men with arm candy at the premiere included Bruce Willis with his wife Emma Heming and daughter Rumer, and Sylvester Stallone with wife Jennifer Flavin and their daughters Sophia Rose, Sistine Rose, and Scarlet Rose. On Mickey Rourke's arm was girlfriend Anastassija Makarenko.
Fox News captured Stallone in a humble and endearing moment at the premiere:
"I thought we had the ugliest group of guys on the planet in one movie," says Stallone of his castmates. "That is what I am so proud of. We all look like horseshoes or catchers mitts. People go, 'wow, that is a sexy group of guys,'" he joked. "And I say, 'excuse me, you're talking about the "Twilight" team, not us.'"
The Expendables is about a band of mercenaries who take on a mission in South America to overthrow a dictator, but the job isn't all that it appears to be. The film was written and directed by Sylvester Stallone and stars Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Terry Crews, Dolph Lundgren, Eric Roberts, Randy Couture, Steve Austin, David Zayas, Giselle Itie, and Senyo Amoaku, who were all at the premiere last night.
