Nick Swisher Balks At Rumor Tim Tebow Helped Him Propose

Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Tim Tebow seems to everywhere these days. The former Heisman Trophy winner has been racking up jersey sales and signing endorsement deals all summer, and that was all before he even signed a deal with the Broncos.

That, however, doesn't mean Tebow is welcome everywhere. One place where Tebow seems decidedly unwelcome is on New York Yankee outfielder Nick Swisher's Wikipedia page.

Florida Today columnist Pete Kerasotis recently asked Swisher about a bit on his Wikipedia page that said Tebow helped Swisher propose to his girlfriend, a graduate of the University of Florida.

Swisher did not take kindly to the question:

"That's total BS!" Swisher blurted as he stood at his locker before a recent game at Tropicana Field. "(Bleep) no! I don't need some other dude to ask my girl to marry me. I'm a Major League Baseball player. I'm a man. I asked her on the balcony at my place in New York City. Tim Tebow wasn't there. You need to squash that story, dude."

According to Kerasotis, Tebow, already a legend in the state of Florida, has been known to assist in proposals before.
