ORANGE, Conn. -- The cornfield just off Interstate 95 in this town of 13,000 looks like any other in rural Connecticut. But hidden behind the rows of stalks are piles of steel girders. "They were going to be the new store," said Stew Leonard Jr., whose father founded the Stew Leonard's supermarket chain in Norwalk in 1969.
