Yellow Lobster Found In Rhode Island Bay Headed To College

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — A rare yellow lobster pulled from Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay is heading to college.

Lobsterman Denny Ingram said Wednesday that the yellow lobster will be moving to the aquarium at the University of Rhode Island's Bay Campus in Narragansett.

Ingram caught the lobster and temporarily made it available for display in the lobstermen's co-op building at the State Pier in Newport.

The manager of seawater facilities at the university says he plans to give the yellow lobster some squid and a quiet corner of a tank so it can recover from all the attention it has sparked.

Yellow lobsters are considered to be a one-in-30-million find.

I hope it reads the fine print before signing the student loan applications. Hopefully, they'll free you when you graduate, though judging by some posters, I guess you're safer spending the rest of your life in the college aquarium.

The lobster uses Neutrogena spectrum SPF 100. Works great. Kept him from being red lobster when it is skittering around in the shallows of Rhode Island.
