Carla Bruni Offered Role On 'CSI'

Carla Bruni has been offered a part on CBS crime show "CSI," according to the Daily Mail UK. The French First Lady reportedly wrote a letter to CSI about how much she "absolutely adored our show," in the words of CSI producer Carol Mendolson. Mendolson and her colleagues asked Carla if she'd like a cameo in an upcoming episode set to film in France. No word yet on if Carla accepted, but she's certainly not camera-shy, having just filmed several scenes for Woody Allen's film "Midnight in Paris."

I really like her, but... model, singer and now actress? Plus it seems she spent lots of time shooting her only scene in Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris: the crew complained that she was not doing her scene (buy bread) naturally.

Do not misunderstand me, I really like her but she's not an actress.

The French are far less uptight about their first ladies having lives outside of their unpaid roles of representing their countries. I would enjoy seeing it.

Sounds about right, that's when I first noticed a decline. Once Grissom left, the plots became pretty stale and the show got pretty boring. An occasional special guest star is fine, but once a show relies on that to bring in viewers, and starts doing travelog episodes (as they appear to be doing this season), those are bad signs.
