Ok, twitter was invented for people that are too lazy to write or read full sentences, now we need someone to read them for us? I swear in 5 generations we are all going to end up like the matrix with our brains plugged into a virtual reality world so we literally can go through life doing absolutely nothing.

Five generations? What you got against two?

MTV needs to change it's name. I can't remember the last time I saw a music video on that channel. Majority of it's programming is reality tv.

MTV runs music videos (and only music videos) every Monday through Thursday from 3AM to 9AM. DVR it if you're not awake, but try and do the research the next time you complain about something.

Yeah a Music channel that only shows music for six hours M -T, usually at times when everyone's asleep. Thanks for proving my point.

Basically..in fact MTv is the worst way to watch videos.

Mount Holyoke. When I lived in Mass it was referred to as "Mount Mattress".

I'm sure things have not changed. ;)

I don't want my MTV anymore. However, it's a laudable attempt to rope the young, overweight, educated market...

In other news, MTV's first Twitter Jockey projected to make $100,000 over tenure with the company.

I was responding to the linked headline...but of course there's absolutely nothing on the page that mentions her one year salary.

MTV is unrecognizable now. Not worth paying any attention to this...

A lot of people! She doesn't talk about what is currently on air. The TJ is meant to give the audience a voice.

You bitter Twitter haters keep me laughing. Twitter is an interesting animal. It can be quite useful, as I found out the other week when all of that stuff with the shooter at the DIscovery Channel building was going down. It was where I saw the first photo of the guy and where the first stories abotu his connection to the place were breaking in real time. I knew what was going down before I hopped on the train, no thanks to regular news outlets and all thanks to Twitter.

I'm not even big on it but disliking it because of the format is getting pretty old. Just stick to saying you don't understand it.

I like MTV and VH-1 spin offs. That's where the music is. MTV is music and pop culture relevant content and from what I can tell it markets itself that way.

MTV has long outlived its use.

Someone needs to pull that plug once and for all.

simple; just do not watch. that will keep her out of a job, and hopefully then mtv will go away. i am glad to say the only time i watch mtv is when i channel surf, and then sometimes i just press the next channel to get away from 2 seconds of teen mom
05:41 PM on 08/10/2010
I don't watch.

I don't even own a TV.
10:31 PM on 08/10/2010
Funny, you say you never watch yet you know the name of at least one of the programs. You must have super human eyeballs and memory, Mike. I sure don't remember the names of shows I see for only 2 seconds while surfing. Sure you're not a closeted fan? It's ok if you are. Most of the members here would have you believe they only watch the History Channel or C-Span. Utter nonsense.

I honestly thought that this story was going to be about a transgender DJ. Who in their right mind would care about a twitter jockey?

I don't know if you meant this to be funny, but your comment made me LAUGH, Dr. Confuso.

Also, I think if MTV begins airing a new reality show about transgender DJ's, you should contact their legal department and demand to be paid.:-)
