The Best (Or Worst) Tea Party-Inspired Music (VIDEOS)

First Posted: 08/09/10 07:12 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 06:20 PM ET

The tea party movement has been the inspiration for numerous songs, music videos, and compilations. Musicians and artists around the nation have sought to capitalize on the popularity of the movement by recording songs that tote politically charged lyrics aimed at appealing to the beliefs held by Tea Party supporters.

Much of the music focuses on reclaiming the government from Democratic party and in some cases specifically target certain policies enacted by the Obama Administration, including the stimulus package and healthcare reform.

Many of these artists have been featured by conservative figures, such as Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin, and have been invited to perform at political functions.

While some songs are opposed to the tea party, most are in favor of support for a Republican resurgence in the upcoming 2010 mid-term elections.
