Dogs On A Motorcycle!

First Posted: 08/10/10 12:59 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:20 PM ET

Aww... This gets us on so many levels. Dogs are awesome. Dogs wearing goggles? Awesome. Dogs (as in more than one) riding on a motorcycle?! Even more awesome. As Reddit user Roleman44 so astutely points out, there should definitely be a sign on the back saying: "If you can read this the bitches fell off." (Via Reddit)

Riding a bike is dangerous not only for these dogs, but for the rider too… so he has to be careful anyway. I don’t think there is anything wrong. They seem to be enjoying it anyway.

Before everyone yells at me for unsafe doggies, I get it. I make my dogs wear seatbelts and boot their feet for a walk around the block (don't laugh, it's Phoenix and the pavement is scalding hot). That being said, maybe this guy doesn't own a car... I don't know... it's not the best idea certainly, but is it worse that letting them ride loose in the back of a pick up? That makes me nuts and I see that all the time. Heck, I see kids riding loose in the back of pick up trucks going down the freaking freeway. I'm just saying....

A while back I spotted a dog housed in a cage mounted under the tray of a semitrailer, i.e. at the level of the tyres! The driver didn't even allow it in the cabin with him. I still can't see the point of having a dog in that situation and can you imagine the pollution down there? If only I'd got his license plate number.

This is absurd and dangerous. It is clearly animal neglect and cruelty. I recently saw a dog on a motorcycle while I was on the road, and I had to pull over because I was so upset. This is just plain wrong.

Maybe this man should just leave his dogs at home and not spend time with them, not take them to the park or the beach or anywhere else that a dog loves to be. My wife and I ride with our dog all the time sandwiched between us, she loves it, she whines and cries every time we get on the bike if she thinks she is not going and will attempt to get on the bike herself every time.

Judge away people

I could see maybe a sidecar, but this just seems really dangerous. There is a top-case bolt-on enclosed carrier out there, but I say just take a cab if it comes to having to get your dogs around.

This is much cuter anyway... just please don't emulate this.

I wouldn't do it, and two larger dogs seems to be pushing the envelope, but mankind has been placing his "best friend" in jeopardy for quite a long while: hunting, bear baiting, war dogs, police dogs, bomb sniffing, you name it.

Completely irresponsible content for any website, let alone HuffPost. This endorses taking awful risks with your pets in order to get famous on the internet. It would be appropriate for HuffPost to remove this article and review the approval process for future postings of the like. Someone really screwed up in approving this one.

I wonder what this guy was thinking. "Wow, I think I'll put capes and goggles on my dogs, stick them in totally unsafe boxes and take them for a spin on my cycle on a highway where we can all die together. Maybe someone will take our picture and we'll wind up online."

This is the same type of guy who would carry a monkey, giant snake or parrot around in order for some attention. Those dogs are goners if doofus wipes out.

So is he...what's your point?

My point, Sir..is he's putting his animals at risk so he can get more attention. When dogs can decide to take the risk, they should be allowed to ride. But not until then.

this is incredibly stupid - kiss your dogs goodbye - they will not survive a minor accident
