Restaurants and shops are closed and everyone from humans to pets is wearing face masks. Reuters reported that the heatwave and wildfires could cost Russia an estimated $14 billion in economic growth.

New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia are just some of the other nations who have put out advisories against travel to Russia.
