Russia Travel Advisory Issued By U.S. Due To Wildfires, Smog & Extreme Heat (PHOTOS)

It just goes from bad to worse: The wildfires south of Moscow have gotten so bad that even Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is getting in on the firefighting action (see slideshow).

Restaurants and shops are closed and everyone from humans to pets is wearing face masks. Reuters reported that the heatwave and wildfires could cost Russia an estimated $14 billion in economic growth.

Now comes the news that the U.S. State Department has issued a travel warning for Russia and has removed all non-essential personnel and dependents from the embassy in Moscow. New Zealand, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia are just some of the other nations who have put out advisories against travel to Russia.
