A British travel agency shut down overnight on Thursday, stranding roughly 1,200 clients abroad with no way home, the Guardian reported.

The agency was hit hard by the eruption of Eyjafjallajokull, the Iceland volcano that left thousands of passengers for days back in April.

Most of their vacations took people to Mallorca or the Spanish coast.

Another tour operator, Goldtrail Holidays, recently collapsed, leaving 16,000 people on vacations in Greece and Turkey with no way home, the Agence France Presse reports.
