We've taken a look at 19 instances where people's activity on Facebook got them arrested. Were their arrests warranted or out of line? See (and vote) in the slideshow below, then check out Facebook posts that got people fired.

Mother Arrested Over Photo Of Baby With Bong
1 of 20
According to CBS News, a 19-year-old Florida mother faced legal trouble after she posted a Facebook photo of her infant appearing to smoke out of a bong. The Florida Department of Children and Families launched an investigation and planned to drug test both the mother and child, despite the mother's protests that the photo was taken as a joke. The photo was sent to a local news station, which contacted the mother for a statement. "If u look at the picture u can see that there is no bowl in the TABACCO (sic) pipe," she wrote in a Facebook message to the news station. "And i took a pic to show one (expletive) person and it was a mistake. I would never ever ever let him get high." According to the Palm Beach Post, the mother is "facing one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor."

I have to admit, this is the best advertisement for FaceBook I've ever seen. Anyone who wants to brag about 'beating the system' by stealing, endangering, or actually harming someone else...gets found.

It's the perfect medium for criminal stupidity.

FB doesn't allow slander? Someone better tell all the anti-gay, anti-progressive, and anti-Obama groups on here before FB cancels their accounts. Yeah, right - I'll die of old age before that happens.

Wonderful. I think I might be living next to another Mafia member. Wish they would arrest him, confiscate his beige Mercedes SUV and his Bright Red Mercedes Sports Sedan and send his buxom German wife back to the Mother Land.

I can't imagine that iguana would taste very good, but I'm definitely intrigued now...

Honestly, the people I know that have eaten it said it tasted like chicken. I grew up in the Canal Zone and the driver who used to pick up the kids for my Mom's nursery school once bagged a couple of big ones out in our backyard. My mom was afraid of them, so she said he was welcome to them if he could catch them. He did.

They were like squirrels, the way they ran about. I was never afraid of them. In fact, I was as put out as a 6 year old could be at the idea Juansito would eat them.

mrs lambert-I could not reply to your comment to me down below. My original comment earlier was that I know the baby tested negative for THC. I never said the baby smoked pot. I simply said a baby holding this bong was inappropriate. If it had been an adult, I would have no issue with the picture. I would also think it was inappropriate if the baby was holding an open bottle of gin. The baby wasn't drinking any and would test negative for alcohol. It would still be an inappropriate picture. I never accused the adults of smoking pot, I never assumed the baby had THC in her system, I never said the adults around her were drinking or that the baby was drinking. That's all I was saying. I would say the same thing if the baby was posing with a butcher knife in its hand, playing with a young family raised lion, a syringe, holding a bottle of alcohol, standing on a three tiered bookcase, bathing alone in a 2ft deep bathtub, sitting in a car not properly restrained (we don't know if the car's moving or not) holding a pack of cigarettes in her hand, holding a lit cigarette in her hands, etc. The list goes on. My only problem was the baby holding the bong. Adults in my examples above, I would not say a thing. It just looks improper for a BABY holding a bong. That's all I have a problem with.

So basically, some people are emailing the police the necessary probably cause to arrest them. Sweet.

Other than the comments from the Lebanese guys (which I consider just political free speech), these are all very very stupid, stupid criminals. If (IF) I were tempted to commit a crime I sure wouldn't be stupid enough to either taunt the cops on facebook, posts pictures of myself doing my crime, or tell my friends about it. All I can say is I'm glad no one had cell phones and digital cameras in the '70's to capture my "indiscretions"...

Police suspected of criminal activity? Is that a typo or oxymoronic?

Wait... murderers can get off with 10 years, yet a kid blackmails his peers into gay sex and he gets 15? Homophobia at work, people.

Blackmailing people into sex treads pretty close to rape.

Actually rape is defined as non-consensual intercourse.

Blackmail, by its very nature, does not produce legitimate consent, it is a form of coercion just as a gun to the head or a knife to the throat would be.

Even a first year law student should know this to be the case.

So why did the DA not charge rape? Plea bargain to just get the case off their desk?

Personal convenience over public safety. Any such DA IMHO should be disbarred.

Ah well...

Well...it's hard to imagine that a guy blackmailing 30 women for sex wouldn't get the same sentence. Also, 19 years old is hardly "a kid," if you ask me.

Bong baby is an awful picture. I know he tested negative for THC, but it's obvious people use pot around him.

And people drink around babies all the time... What's the difference? Other than alcohol tends to lead to domestic abuse much more often than marijuana.

I don't disagree with you. Where is alcohol in this picture? This picture isn't a baby with a bottle of gin lifted to its mouth. Is it? I'm 42 years old so my eyesight could be going. I hope not because my passengers could really get upset with me, but this photo is not about alcohol. This is a water bong for marijuana. I recognize them because guys I went to college with used to have one and I remember what they look like. I don't exactly know how they are used **ahem** but that was 20 years ago. I know one to see one. This picture is baby and bong, not baby and gin bottle. But to acknowledge the point you are making, Yes! People drink around their children and that isn't the right thing to do either. To show that your point is a good one too, I'll put a gold star next to your username for today. ;-)

If I have beer or two around my kid (not getting roaring drunk), that doesn't affect her at all. Smoke, whether tobacco or other, does.... I'm an ex-smoker now but with her growing up I went to the garage to smoke in isolation. I didn't smoke in the house around her.
