PETA's Road-Paving Proposal Gets Cold Response From Boulder County

BOULDER -- Boulder County's transportation chief is skeptical about an animal-rights group's offer to help cover part of the multimillion-dollar cost of repaving the county's unincorporated residential subdivision roads.

"I don't think it's a serious proposal," said George Gerstle, director of the Boulder County Transportation Department.
