Listeners who tuned in Monday to "The Leonard Lopate Show" on WNYC expecting to hear its regular host got an unusual surprise: Christopher Walken, the "Deer Hunter" and "Behanding in Spokane" star, loaned his lifelong interest in broadcasting and burgeoning skills (not to mention his unmistakable stop-and-start delivery) to the program, where he acted as guest host for the afternoon, and conducted interviews with friends and colleagues like Jack O'Brien and Richard Easton; his "Behanding" co-star Zoe Kazan; the chef Lidia Bastianich and her mother, Erminia Motika; and the dancer and choreographer Jacques d'Amboise, who shared his airtime with a couple of surprise guests.
