Julia Roberts traveled to Tokyo as part of the "Eat Pray Love" press tour and the actress donned a Dries Van Noten printed dress with a matching belt to speak at a conference on Wednesday. Please tell me that someone photo shopped her face on a picture of someone in a dumpy dress! That doesn't even look like her body. She almost looks pregnant.

Good heavens but that is an ugly, matronly dress and the colors are hideous and the shoes are horrible! What was she thinking? Leave the dress behind in Japan!

She looks as awful as she acts. She's snarky and egotistical. She and her husband parked in a handicapped spot at the grocery store and when she came out someone said something to her and she told them off. Entitlement at its best.

Dries florals are gorgeous...the Japanese LOVE this designer, so I think it was an informed, inspired choice. Plus - she looks like a lady. Why do film premieres require girdle tight & lots of cleve?

We are so used to the way dresses look on women who are scary thin. Could be more flattering, but it's interesting. We all have days where we don't look amazing.
Makes me like her as much as ever. She seems like a real woman with a job, husband and kids, granted, much more support than most of us, but still, busy and can't spend all her time looking perfect.

Does anyone really think Julia cares what people think about her dress, her decisions about how to live her life and so on? I truly believe she has made her choices and has a happy life and except for hoping you buy movie tickets, she pretty much could care less what the general public thinks. (And depending on how her contract reads, she may not even care if you buy a ticket to her movie or not.) She does a good job of acting like she cares, but let's face it,she is an actress, after all. Watch her closely and you will see that she is adept at using her skills and is pretty well sick of people in general and just comes out amongst us when she has to. The rest of the time, she is content to be at home with her family.

At least it's something different. Please no more strapless bag dresses!!! If I see one more cylinder dress, I'm going to scream. Designers save us from boredom that is far worse than this dress.

Sure it's different...but I'm glad it's not just another cookie cutter dress. That said...it's not my favorite but it's kind of like the movie.

Looks like she's wearing a belted mu mu and green foot barrels. And what's with the unbrushed hair? 16 year old girls can look cute when frumpy. The rest of us are far better off not being frumpy.
