LAST CALL: Spotlight On John J. O'Connor's Meandering Art
WHO: John J. O'Connor
WHAT: 'C'OD(e)R'
WHERE: Fleisher/Ollman Gallery
1616 Walnut Street, Suite 100
Philadelphia, PA 19103
WHEN: June 17 - August 20, 2010
WHY: Because complex colors are the new black.
In C'OD(e)R, artist John J. O'Connor creates works made from graphite, colored pencil, paint and found materials that are based on personal data, chance, and statistics. O'Connor's works are composites of quirky decisions, and are as much an homage to visualizing information as they are to pure abstraction. With this exhibition, the artist gives abstract mark-making some quantitative and measurable meaning.
