You've likely heard broadcasts from StoryCorps and didn't even know it. Their audio stories have been featured on NPR and PBS -- stories about the connections and relationships between everyday people. The mission of StoryCorps, according to their website, is to "provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and preserve the stories of our lives."
Their newest project matches professional animations to audio stories. "Danny & Annie" premiered on August 17 on PBS -- it features a long-married Brooklyn couple recounting the day they met and the early years of their marriage, with subtle references to Danny's failing fight against cancer.
New animated shorts from StoryCorps will air on PBS every Tuesday night. See the schedule at storycorps.org/animation.
