I've often wondered what one is supposed to do in a major trial like this. The ones who don't smile, get accused of having no emotion or not caring. The ones who look sad look guilty before being judged by the jury. And if you smile, then you have an evil smirk.

Not being snarky, I really have no idea how I would react. I'd be crying like a baby probably because I'd be so afraid. I'd say as long as one isn't laughing or giggling during a serious trial, then probably doesn't make much sense to try to read something into it...

If you look up the London Daily Mail (www.dailymail.co.uk) online and find the article about this woman, it will make you sick. She was having sex with men, unprotected and not telling them she was infected with HIV and doing it for years. She is part of some girl singing group and did not want to tell because it would ruin her career. Yet was willing to have unprotected sex as if it was not a big deal. So she needs to be put under the jail or stoned in the street, because she was willing to pass on this disease.

Okay. But if she had unprotected sex with all 3 men and didn't tell them of her HIV status, she committed serious crimes. And apparently, the risk of ruining her career was the most important thing on her mind.

Well, if U were there tell the world what occurred? Even w/yr eyewitness account, American jurisprudence must find fault through trial or guilty plea!

We are not on the German bench. We are media readers. We do not have to reserve judgment for a verdict, luckily. A charge like this would be enough to cause any of us with sense to deem a potential sex partner as risky and worth avoiding. Innocent until proven guilty is a great concept for jurisprudence, but it's not reality for those of us outside a courtroom, nor does it have to be.

One of my favorite subjects of study is psychopathology. Folks with this mental defect are interesting to observe (as long as they are in their cages). The three main factors that make up these personalities are: no attachment, minimal anxiety, and under arousal, a condition often visible during their arrest and trial, where they're under the most stress. This woman presents us with a smirk comparable to that of the much prettier Richard Ramirez, the famous Night Stalker, who hasn't aged a bit in 25 years of incarceration because nothing bothers him except he can't indulge in his favorite pastime. It is because you know she is on trial. If there was a caption under that picture that said "Fan reacts to seeing George Clooney" you would not think it sinister. That is why police have to be careful when having someone ID a suspect from photos.
