Daisy Khan

The Washington Post:

Daisy Khan is shocked. In a phone conversation with her minutes ago she said she couldn't believe that what had started out as "a community center for everyone in the neighborhood, to scale up and build up people of all religions has become so skewed. It's hard for us to imagine we are in the thick of a controversy like this. The Republicans are really going after us."

Daisy Khan, along with her husband Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, is one of the co-founders of Cordoba House, which has proposed to build a mosque more than two blocks from Ground Zero, causing a political and religious furor.

'When Will Muslims Be "Accepted"? Great question.
Potential answers:
When Muslims across the world stop waging war in the name of Allah.
When Muslim terrorist stop launching attacks against Americans in the name of Allah.
When Muslims in the US publicly proclaim a reformed faith that does not support the religious intolerance included in the Koran.

When we leave our faith behind. God already answered that question for us in the Quran, there is an exact passage on it. So basically, the answer is never.

There's a big difference between Christianity and Islam. Christianity may have its extremists but Islam is a religion of extremes. Christ never advocated killings and violence. The reverse is not true of Islam. To be in line with Christianity is to live in peace. Islam requires ji had against the unbelievers.

When will they be accepted? When they stop endorsing, either expressly or tacitly, acts of terr or ism. When the moderates speak up. When women are allowed a voice. When the extremists cease to dominate the dialogue, shouting incoherently into a video camera from a cave.

Here is the Saudhi-Wahaabi connection to GZM.

"Islamofascism: New dots are emerging from the probe into who's behind the Ground Zero mosque, and the radical Muslim Brotherhood is coming into view.

While a couple of U.S. nonprofits — the Cordoba Initiative and its sister, the American Society for Muslim Advancement — are coordinating the New York project, they hardly give the full picture. A Saudi charity has sunk more than $300,000 into ASMA. It's called the Kingdom Foundation — headed by Alwaleed bin Talal, the Saudi prince whose 9/11 relief check was rejected after he blamed the attacks on U.S. foreign policy.

Bin Talal is a major financier of Muslim Brotherhood fronts in the U.S. His foundation is run by Saudi hijabi Muna Abu Sulayman,"

"Devout Muslims around the world are observing the holy month of Ramadan, by fasting."

I trust you will cause violence if one does not send the greetings, like this story. Understand why you are not accepted by the civilised world.

"270 million is a made up number. Cite a CREDIBLE source. Also, who cares what Saudi Arabia's compensation schedule looks like? We're talking about Muslim-Americans,"

Check the history book; in India only it is 80 million Hindus, Buddhists and Jains. 270 may be at the lower end for the jihadi violence over a millenium. Why Muslim Americans stage violent and ugly protests when IDF enters Gaza; when US tries to kill the terroprists in Afganistan. You are part of the umma and you can not distance from the umma when it gets uncomfortable. Read this"

""When you meet your enemies who are polytheists, invite them to three courses of action. If they respond to any one of these, you also accept it and withold yourself from doing them any harm. Invite them to (accept) Islam; if they respond to you, accept it from them and desist from fighting against them. ... If they refuse to accept Islam, demand from them the Jizya. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, seek Allah's help and fight them...." (Sahih Muslim 19.4294)

Would people have cared is the Japanese wanted to build a temple in Pearl Harbor, if someone wanted to open a nazi party office in Paris, 10 years after the war...I hope so. The people who want to do this should respect the fact that it is not the place to erect a monumet to the "religion" that many used to destroy 3000+ lives. Can they build a mosque...sure they can there are thousands in the US should they build it there NO. They have the right but they have the responsibility to do the right thing!!!

When will Mulims be accepted? The Muslims who moved into the 21st century and act accordingly are accepted. The Muslim who live still in the stoning age are not being accepted by the general population.....and rightly so.

The Muslims who "moved into the 21st century..." are the ones building the community center.

Yeah, but they are too few to be representative of the large "other" mass, don't you think. It's like saying that because Soljenitzen (I hope I spelled correctly), communism did not exist in Rusia.

Devout Muslims around the world are observing the holy month of Ramadan, by fasting. Make sure to wish your Muslim friends a Blessed Ramadan (Ramadan Mubarak). It ends on September 9th

Eid-Al-Fitr in America is Thursday, September 9th. Greet them with these words: Eid Mubarak (Blessed Festival). Show them your support and make them feel that they are welcome in America.

“We tend to forget, in the West, that the United States has more Muslim blood on its hands than al Qaida has on its hands of innocent non Muslims. You may remember that the US-led sanctions against Iraq led to the death of over half a million Iraqi children. This has been documented by the United Nations. And when Madeleine Albright, who has become a friend of mine over the last couple of years, when she was Secretary of State and was asked whether this was worth it, said it was worth it." Imam Rauf in Australia in 2005

No mention of the 270 million victims of over a millennium of jihadi wars, land appropriations, cultural annihilation and enslavement. No mention of the recent slaughter by Muslims of Christians, Hindus, Jews, non-believers in Indonesia, Thailand, Ethiopia, Somalia, Philippines, Lebanon, Israel, Russia, China................ no candor, no criticism of Islam.

Imam Rauf is not as innocent as he is portrayed. Read this:

Important information about Rauf:

Imam Faisal 'Abd Al-Rauf's book What's Right with Islam: A New Vision for Muslims and the West was published in Indonesian in 2007 with a different title: Seruan Azan Dari Puing WTC: Dakwah Islam di Jantung Amerika Pasca 9/11.
TRANSLATION:("The Call of Azan from the Rubble of the World Trade Center: Islamic Da'wa in the Heart of America Post-9/11").

Lol... this propagandized translation of his book title is only available on anti-Islam websites. I've never seen a credible translation like that. How about you admit that you're just angry and frightened of all Muslims, and we can move on, mmkay?

"when will Christians and Jews reflect on the same things?"

This is precisely the attitude that rules out any refrom in Islam; treatment of its minorities in the worst possible manner an eternal reality; implicit acceptance of jihadi violence over a millenium; causing death and destruction 270 million Christians, Hindus, Persians, Buddhists etc; caused destruction of three civilisations wholesale; a horrid history of demolishing/firebombing of churches and temples even in 21st century; treating women worse than dirt; subverting plural societies through indiscriminate increase of its population; remaining uneducated and unproductive, largely dependent on welfare payouts; theologically justifying rape of women of host country sayng unveiled women invite rape; all these and lot more makes the community ineligible for greater respect.

alisheba; Have you ever come across any adverse reaction to other minorities like Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists etc in US or in Europe. They are communities that command premium.

Read this and you know why the world will never respect you.

"Now since we started talking about “worth” I think it is worth mentioning that in Saudi Arabia if a person has been killed or caused to die by another, the latter has to pay blood money or compensation, as follows:

100,000 riyals if the victim is a Muslim man

50,000 riyals if a Muslim woman

50,000 riyals if a Christian man

25,000 riyals if a Christian woman

6,666 riyals if a Hindu man

3,333 riyals if a Hindu woman"
