Chelsea Clinton To Host Bike Ride For Haiti Charity

In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake in Haiti, former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush joined forces to establish the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, to provide aid to struggling regions. The organization collected millions in donations to bring tents, medical supplies and other badly-needed humanitarian assistance to survivors. Moving into the second phase of the recovery effort, the fund will focus on the private sector, supporting small businesses to help rebuild local economies.

Now, Chelsea Clinton is supporting her father's organization by hosting a charity bike ride -- indoors. The ride will take place August 28 at indoor cycling center SoulCycle in Bridgehampton, N.Y. The charity fundraiser is Clinton's first public appearance since her lavish wedding ceremony in July, where she tied the knot with investment banker Marc Mezvinsky.

Each rider will pay between $500 and $5,000 to be a part of the 60-minute biking session. There is room for 71 participants to ride. The funds raised will support the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund.

The New York Post reports Bill Clinton is also expected to be present at the event.

Other supporters can make an online donation to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund or contribute $10 by texting the word "QUAKE" to 20222.
