This is a made up story. The Repubs are getting tons of money. They just aren't giving it to the black guy. Haley Barbour is raking in the cash which will position him to run as the good old boy in 2012. The campaigns are fine. The RNC is only hurt until Jan. when they dump Steele. He was only there as a foil for Obama anyway.

The corporations are likely giving the money to other right wing groups, who accomplish the same thing that the RNC does, without all of the controversy.

All it means is that corporations rather than Republican Party operatives will become the kingmakers. The same phenomenon will occur in the Democratic Party too, leavened by the unions' participation. The Roberts Supreme Court threw electoral democracy under the bus.

The Republican Party has left its Conservative roots. They are going to choose Mitt Romney, look at his record he is a liberal. Conservatives must offer a choice! The same grass roots can-do spirit that created the Tea Party, can change this country again. We must mount a campaign to convince Governor Palin to run as a third party or independent! Once she presents her plan to the voters, Sarah can win!

Romney is a liberal huh. Why is it that everyone to the normal side of the extreme right is a liberal. Obama is called a socialist when he is a center-right corporatist. Romney is a mainstream right wing corporatist as well.

I think that's a great idea. Run the phony fiscal conservative as a third party.

"Sarah Palin has long sold herself as a fiscal conservative, arguing that the nation simply can't afford additional spending.

But when she resigned as governor of Alaska in the summer of 2009, she left the state with a 70 percent debt-to-GDP ratio -- the highest state debt burden in the United States.

That's according to data compiled by the Washington Independent's Megan Carpentier, who notes that Alaska has a debt burden similar to "Palin’s favorite health care resource, Canada."

By comparison, crisis-stricken California has a debt ratio of less than 40 percent. All the more confounding about Alaska's debt is the fact that it is an oil-producing region with a small population to share in that wealth. Oil-rich Alberta, Canada, for example, collects no sales tax and still managed to retire its debt entirely in 2004.

While Alaska's massive debt burden can't be blamed entirely on Palin's two-and-a-half-year stint as governor, she did face similar debt problems while mayor of Wasilla, and those appear to be of her own making.

Remember when the GOP fundraiser mailer was found? It specifically said that it's donor can be milked b/c they have "big egos" and that the rest of their supporters can be 'easily frightened and made to fear"

The GOP told their supporters what they think of them, yet their supporters will still vote for them.

“GOP Funraising Handicap" should actually be the caption under Steele's pic.

I'm a GOPer who actually liked Mike Steele when I lived in MD and he ws Lt Gov. That was before I realized he was insane.”

The problem is the RINOS who have control of the party's money. Sarah Palin should run in 2012 as an independent.

Karl Rove is bringing in a couple of hundred million for his group, all donated by four unnamed billionaires. And the GOP is fighting to make sure they don't have to disclose where anything comes from.

The GOP is going to do fine in the fund raising department. And they'll govern on behalf of these few mega rich characters and various predatory businesses looking for advantage over their rivals and the American people to powerful effect.

Most people aren't stupid enough to believe a word you say anymore. You knew this would happen and HAD to get a shadey SCOTUS in to pass "Citizens United."

Imagine if this wasn't the case? They'd have even LESS money.

CU needs to be repealed immediately.

I don't know what the all the fuss is about. Wall Street, Big Business and Too-Big-To-Fail Inc. will come to the GOP's rescue like they always do.
