The world’s strongest animal is ….. the copepod. Stretching only 1 millimeter in length, the copepod is the strongest and fastest multicellular creature. Relative to its size, the copepod moves with the highest acceleration of body-lengths per second. Scientists are currently studying the organism's jumping abilities so that they can be mimicked by robot technology. Science Daily credits the copepod as 10 to 30 times more powerful than any machine or animal in the world.

.....t today we pause to note the death of Adwaitya, an Aldabran tortoise who died last Wednesday at the Calcutta zoo. He is believed to have been about 250, nearly 80 years older than the next-oldest animal, a 176-year-old Galapagos tortoise living in Australia.

The "smallest dog" is to die for even though it looks a little bit like a bat.  I"d love to own him but I wouldn't carry him around in a handbag because I'm a guy and I don't carry one.
