Spiritualist Camp, Cassadaga, Florida
1 of 13
The Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp is a small community 40 miles from Orlando. It was founded l00 years ago so like-minded people could live together and practice their religion. Today, the streets are lined with turn-of-the-century cottages, most of them occupied by psychics, who will give you a reading. Start your visit at the book store/information center, where you may schedule a reading (for a fee) or use the center’s phone to make arrangements directly with the medium of your choice. By the way, the word “camp” simply describes the church-owned property. There are no actual camping facilities at Cassadaga, but the 1920s-era Cassadaga Hotel is open for business and rumored to be haunted.

I like the fact that it says that you can use the phone at the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp to book an appointment with the Medium of your choice.

Surely, if they were on top of their game, they'd know that you were coming...

Most of my family in Venezuela uses hammocks when they visit my grandfather's farm.
At least you know that snakes and scorpions won't get you.

Why isn't the Kenya's Aberdare National Forest landmark location Treetops listed? It is a spectacular location, and it is the location Queen Elizabeth II was when she became Queen of England.

I live just down the road from Cave Junction - there is another place near there at the Oregon Caves that has a three story lodge built before 1900 that is completely covered on the outside by shingles made of tree bark. Also, just before you get to Dunsmuir on I-5, there is a motel that is made up of old railroad passenger cars. We have lots of cool little getaways in this corner of the world.

I visited the store there. It is a beautiful place. It is peacful and if you do not have money, all that spiritual beauty becomes pretty strange.
Just a place that makes money helping people experience their fantasy of the day. Those people believe in the super natural and willing to go out of their minds to find their self reflection.
That is the way it is.
However, it is a welcome place and a sound business idea.
Namaste.
I am glad to run into this article. Love those memories regardeless...
I would never stay there though over night. I would have camped near by after having a steak dinner.

The drive up from Kathmandu can include a stop in Bhaktapur, an old city which was used for some of the scenes in the movie "Little Buddha."
