More and more, these beauty pagents just look like meat shows. They all look pretty much the same; the bodies all conform to a norm; the talent is never anything to cause notice; and the questions/­answers are pretty shallow. In this day, it is not unusual to see a pretty girl anywhere and everyone struts their bodies and displays them with plunging necklines and spaghetti straps just going to the grocery store. We have starlets and celebritie­s with no talent already and opinions that form answers to questions are usually non existent or arrived at via sound bites. Pagents are not what they used to be. No one is outstandin­g by any criteria. One can go to HP Entertainm­ent on any day and see any number of young women partially clothed with nothing more to offer other than the latest sexual tryst, bizarre dietary habits, etc. Beauty pagents have always been accused of exploiting and demeaning women but, at least, they produced some women who displayed qualities that got them meaningful careers and the means with which to pursue higher formal education. Can anyone remember any pagent winner in the last 10 years that has contribute­d or accomplish­ed anything meaningful­, other than notoriety?

you have never been there.
it is a very diverse population but any bit of melanin and one is considered "black".
if you look at her face you can see she is mixed just like all of us dominicano­s.

Haiti really looked good in her swimsuit, was the only one with CURVES up there!
