Michelle Obama Brightens Up Martha's Vineyard With Multi-Print Tunic (PHOTOS, POLL)

After donning a black and white dress to dinner on Monday night, Michelle brought some much-needed color to Martha's (dreary and drenched) Vineyard on Tuesday evening, wearing a multi-print tunic by Duro Olowu for a meal in town. She paired it with black leggings, what look like her metallic flats, a clutch and an armful of bangles. Check out her ensemble and tell us what you think.

At first I didn't like this but upon reconsideration, I think the camera angle is quite a problem. Would love to see the dress on her photographed differently.
No matter what she's wearing, she always looks beutiful: she has style and soul.

I like the trim fabric but not the main body of the dress.

Very few women could have carried this off but the FLOTUS and her sense of fun in dress, casual approach plus the complete confidence in wearing what she likes, is a winner in this frock.

I just absolutely adore this First Lady, even moreso after seeing her in this tunic, she appears so receptive and supportive of different points of views, customs, styles, and ways of seeing the world. What she has essentially done is brought more attention to this designer who I never heard of, Duro Olowu, a london based Nigerian. I looked up his fashions, many of them I like. Check it out:

this is the most hideous outfit ever and the 1st time a majority polled hated the look. why a nigerian designer? their love of multiple fabrics in one outfit is nauseating. the only great nigerian designs contain only one fabric with matching head piece. 3 fabrics is too much...this one has 4!! i've designed my own clothes for the past 20 years and here's what i would've done: made 3 different dresses from these fabrics (4th one at the bottom would've been ignored)
1. designed the entire dress from the fabric on the sleeves. no leggings.
2. designed a 2nd sleeveless dress from the fabric on the upper chest...a sheath dress look. no leggings.
3. designed a 3rd sleeveless strapless dress from the gray polka dot fabric. she's already wearing it like i envision, minus the other fabrics. i would put a metallic silver belt at the waist & leggings coz it will be very short like now. her small black azzedine alaia jacket completes the look.
either of these would've been better than this. i love her fiercely independent fashion sense and her risk taking. this was sui cide.

Wow I can honestly say this is the first 'fit Mrs. O has worn that I hated. If she wore her hair down and lost the leggings it might have been a different story.
