Christina Applegate Talks Pregnancy Diet, Weight Gain, Mood Swings (VIDEO)

Christina Applegate visited 'Lopez Tonight' on Thursday, where she talked about her pregnancy cravings and weight gain. George asked her if her friends warned her about what being pregnant would feel like.

"They tell you it's so fantastic. My friend was like, 'Oh don't worry, I gained 15 pounds," she said. "I'm like, '[expletive!]'"

She also talked about her pregnancy diet - which was healthy, she said, until she arrived on the 'Lopez Tonight' set.

"I crave food! I don't care what it is!" she said. "I came here and within 30 seconds I had a Sprinkles cupcake and a bunch of fried cheese. I eat macrobiotics for the most part, and I eat really well ... until I came here."

Earlier this week, Christina appeared on 'The Late Show,' where she said pregnancy has made her lose her filter. She popped a fuse when a security guard got after her for an illegal parking job.

"I was just like, Shhhhh! Shhhhh! It is too hot out to be a douchebag, okay?!" she said. "What's wrong with me? I was like, 'Who am I right now?! That's a horrible thing to say to somebody!'"

I had a hard time fully understand­ing why she went for the radical double-mas­tectomy instead of going with some of the other alternativ­es. Now that she's pregnant, I understand why. Congratula­tions to her and best wishes for a complicati­on free pregnancy.

By definition­, a celebrity is someone who is "celebrate­d" and if anyone is deserving of the title, it is Christina Applegate. She should be celebrated more for her strength through adversity than her talent as an actress. Our society not only accepts celebritie­s who act obnoxious and privileged­, but in many ways encourages such behavior, and all too often people who achieve wealth and fame are all too happy to play the part. Ms. Applegate has faced much more adversity in the past few years than most celebritie­s and by all accounts has managed to remain a genuinely nice person, who doesn't see herself as being above treating the people around her with kindness and respect regardless of their perceived station in life. Several years ago while vacationin­g in Honolulu she came into Hula's, one of the more prominent gay dance clubs in Waikiki with a reputation for giving celebritie­s their privacy. Ms. Applegate was extremely polite and generous with her time when fans recognized her, and while she was not mobbed, she was asked to sign a few autographs and to have her picture taken a few times. Although she was there as a visitor and not as an official appearance­, she never turned down a single request and treated everyone nicely. She is a class act and deserves to be celebrated­.

I'm Hispanic, but for some strange reason I can not stand to see George Lopez's show for more than five minutes, he makes me feel constipate­d! Applegate is adorable! And i like Lopez, but.... uhmmm, yeah!

I absolutely love Christina Applegate, and I wish her all the best. Comedy ain't easy, and she has done it very well for a long time. Besides MWC, both Jesse and Samantha Who? were great shows.

After the horrible time she went through with her breast cancer treatment, I have to say I am very happy for her being able to experience pregnancy and motherhood­. Enjoy.
