Awesome...another thing people will try and pressure me to join and I'll say no to. FANTASTIC!

I'll definitely check them out. Closed my FB account some months ago -- first of all, all the requests from friends to help them with their Farmville annoyed me no end. But it was the constantly shifting privacy issue that drove me away, and I have no desire to return.

Why does anyone bother with MySpace? It's like a 2007/2008 joke. Facebook is littered with privacy flaws.

No. The biggest problem? How the hell do you pronounce that thing? How is it going to generate buzz when no one knows how to say it?

Um, it's a common word, sounds like you should have paid attention in school.

No, it really, really isn't.

Diaspora is the migration of a group of people away from their ancestral homeland. It's not a common event, nor has it ever been. You'd have to stretch really hard to work it into general conversation. I've heard it used to refer to Jews living outside Israel, but that's it.

A diaspora (in Greek, διασπορά – "a scattering [of seeds]") is the movement or migration of a group of people, such as those sharing a national and/or ethnic identity, away from an established or ancestral homeland. When capitalized, the Diaspora refers to the exile of the Jewish people and Jews living outside ancient or modern day Israel.
