Ground Zero Memorial Plaza Gets First Trees (PHOTOS)

Ground Zero just got a little bit greener.

The first Swamp White Oak trees were planted in Memorial Plaza after a ceremony at Ground Zero on Saturday.

The trees were chosen from areas within a 500-mile radius of the World Trade Center site, including New York, Pennsylvania and near Washington D.C., where the 9/11 attacks occurred.
