One of the funniest moments of the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards last night involved none other than the hilarious Ricky Gervais. When he came out to present two variety awards, Gervais didn't leave the stage until he mocked Mel Gibson and gave half the people in the two front rows a tall, cold one.
After complaining that they don't serve alcohol at the Emmys like they do at the Golden Globe Awards, Gervais joked that there weren't any erratic actors present who would get too drunk, mentioning Russell Crowe and then Mel Gibson. He stepped back at first, saying he wasn't going to "have a go" at Gibson because he's "been through a lot." In true comedic fashion, he finished the thought a second later, saying "Not as much as the Jews though." He then summoned three waiters to bring beers to those in the first two rows, adding "'The Office' is in syndication. Those are on me." (Via Gotcha Media)
