Los Angeles' New Restaurants, Opening This Fall
Grub Street Los Angeles:
An exciting three months of restaurant openings lies before L.A., momentarily distracting our mouths from foaming for the promise of Nancy Silverton's burgers, LudoBites 6.0, and closely guarded expansions from Michael Voltaggio, Walter Manzke, Steven Fretz, and Animal. This fall will see SBE jumping deeper into the restaurant game with Cleo at The Redbury, John Rivera Sedlar doubling down on his culinary world tour at R26, Thierry Perez bringing a fat slice of Europe to Culver City with L'Epicerie, Steven Arroyo stripping down to the tortilla at Escuela, breakout efforts from Jordan Kahn's Red Medicine, Jeff Cerciello's FarmShop, and Bryant Eng's Spice Table, plus a completely new concept from Father's Office chef Sang Yoon. Elsewhere, another Top Chef will come to town when Jamie Lauren joins Beechwood, while another rush of imports like Scarpetta, the showy Supper Club, and Obika will plunk down and treat L.A. just like it's Vegas. Southeast Asian flavors and more house-made charcuteire appear to be prominent trends, while the re-imagining of New York's Ratner's Deli promises to pack some unforeseen surprises. Enjoy our guide to L.A.'s fall openings and please report back to us on what you look forward to the most.
