Richard Branson

On Tuesday, Virgin America announced that it is expanding its service to Cabo San Lucas and Cancun, Mexico, with non-stop flights from San Francisco and Los Angeles starting in December.

Virgin launched a fare sale to celebrate the new destinations, offering cross-country routes for $109 (not to mention regional fares starting at $39). If you're tech-savvy, you can score yourself a two-for-one ticket deal through the Loopt Star App on the iPhone.

And what would a Virgin launch be without a little cross-promotion? Airline representatives are driving taco trucks around Los Angeles (7060 Hollywood Boulevard) and San Franciso (100 Folsom Street) for further celebration. The trucks are offering a two-for-one taco deal, the proceeds of which will go to the San Francisco Animal Care and Control's animal program.
