Jonathan Hock Pleads Guilty To Broadcasting His Sexual Assault On His Unconscious Girlfriend

PHOENIX — A Phoenix man accused of sexually assaulting his unconscious girlfriend and broadcasting the attack live on the Internet has pleaded guilty to three charges.

Twenty-two-year-old Jonathan Richard Hock pleaded guilty Thursday to two counts of attempted sexual assault and one count of voyeurism in Maricopa County Superior Court.

Hock was arrested in June 2009 after police say he set up a computer Web camera and sexually assaulted his girlfriend of two weeks in her bedroom as she was unconscious from drinking alcohol on Feb. 26. The woman was 20 years old.

Police say the video was watched repeatedly until the site it was posted on removed it. The site provided police with a copy of the video.

My roommate in college (dorm) woke up next to a friend of mine after a night of drinking and wouldn't tell her what had happened the night before. He thought it was funny that she didn't know. This went on for a few days and she was traumatize­d. So I punched him, and I'm proud of it.

With all due respect to some of these comments, seriously some of you need to realize or know whats "really" out there on the net. This kind of thing is ALLLLLLLLL­LLL over.

SEE: Stickam.co­m- ANYONE can broadcast from their rooms, plenty of underage nudity being recorded by punks who pay attention to girls and they do "whatever" is asked. Just Google Stickam, not the site, but the name, as complaints abound.
There really is no legal recourse as unless theres a complaint, say by a parent or something, its kids being kids and without a valid ID no one really knows how old someone is. There are even websites who's sole purpose is for people who record these "cam sessions" to post them.
Its a running game as to who can get who naked or who is on right now and so on.

No disrespect intended but its standard internet fare that has been around along time and I'm sorta shocked some of you posters don't already know about this kind stuff.

Well, I'm with you there, nor do I visit such places but I do keep up with news, and the general goings on in the net world. Though to Google someone or someplace or site is to obtain knowledge and while not agreeing with it's purpose or content it helps you to know or to never be shocked by anything.
By the same token there are parents with kids, with computers in their room that don't have a clue, so stuff like this article would be shocking to them.

Considerin­g there are websites with "Actors" portraying themslves as drunk and taken advantage of, I think this might be hard to prove.

I'm all for love and forgivenes­s, but that can only go so far until some sociopath starts taking advantage and plays the system based on it. Your ideology is noble and I certainly do not want to compromise it, but people are bad, and for every effort we as a species make to advance and enlighten ourselves, there will always be a person or group of people trying to undermine it "just because we can".

He'll get his in prison. On one hand, it's great that he won't be unconsciou­s when he ultimately befalls the same fate as his poor girlfriend­. On the other, it's a shame that we won't get to see it happen to him. (Not that it's something I WANT to see, but you know, eye=eye, tooth=toot­h, etc.)

The person from the website didn't turn him in. A ton of other people reported it to the police while he sat on the evidence for three months. It wasn't until the police issued a search warrant for the server of his website that he sent in the evidence of the crime. He also complained about how they didn't politely ask him for it when he didn't have any contact informatio­n listed on his website. He also posted the video for his readers to watch later on, without the consent of the woman who was raped, further humiliatin­g and degrading her. The owner of the website is just as big a creep as John Hock.
