Sharron Angle Called 'Extreme,' 'Uncompassionate And Non-Caring' By GOP Gov's Ex-Wife (VIDEO)

(AP/Huffington Post) -- The ex-wife of Nevada's Republican governor is slamming GOP Senate candidate Sharron Angle who is vying to unseat Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

Dawn Gibbons blasted Angle's education agenda Wednesday during a campaign appearance to drum up support for Reid in his re-election fight. She called Angle's ideas dangerous and extreme in a speech echoing attacks fired by the four-term incumbent's camp.

The Las Vegas Review Journal reports:

"I still consider her a friend," Gibbons said of Angle when asked by a reporter whether she had a "personal vendetta" against the Tea Party favorite during a news conference arranged by Reid's campaign.

"I think the world of both of them," she added. "But this is about the future of the state of Nevada. And we can't really afford to have someone that is so extreme and so uncompassionate and non-caring about our citizens. We need someone in the United States Senate that will stand up and fight for us."

Dawn Gibbons faced Angle in a three-way congressional primary in 2006. Neither emerged victorious. The Nevada Republican, however, signaled that's when she first became familiar with some of the conservative contender's more controversial positions.

Gibbons, a former Republican state legislator, was among Reid's earliest Republican supporters last year. Her divorce from Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons was finalized in July.

Amazing how someone like the Ms. Gibbons can state the obvious and the media treat it like a major announcement or revelation...

"we can't really afford to have someone that is so extreme and so un-compassionate and non-caring about our citizens" this is not only true for Nevada but for the entire country the vast majority of Republicans and especially the Tea Bagger wing are cut from the same  Read More...

"Extreme", "Uncompassionate", and "Non-Caring". Isn't that the GOP party platform?

From Nevada:

Oh, no kidding SHARRON! You took...and took...and took (and your old man, too, though no one else seems to recognize this) from the State System here in Nevada to make your living.

And now...? You are just ...oh "so ready to dump it for the rest of us!"

You SUCK!

Nice endorsement for Harry Reid.

Well, if the governor's ex-wife says so, it must be true. Here in Illinois, we live and die on the words of our ex-governor's wife, Patty Blagovitch

And Dawn Gibbons knows about extreme, uncompassionate, and uncaring. She was married to it.

Meanwhile, there is a list of 177 prominent Nevada republicans who endorse Harry Reid. They're called Republicans for Reid. Too much.

They are endorsing Reid this year because they want to ensure total republican victory in 2012.

With the momentum the GOP has, I find it it odd that would embrace such nutjobs..As a Nevada resident, I'm still shocked that people think Sharon Angle should win. Their blinded rage against Reid has clouded all forms of sound judgment..

There are Angle yard signs all over the "over 55" community where I live. I can't believe there are so many Seniors who would 'cut off their collective noses to spite their faces'. Scary.

Keep in mind, the people like Angle who want to cut Social Security and Medicare always target the cuts 15+ years out, so they don't affect the current seniors, who vote so reliably.

We should be grateful for the honesty of this crop of Tea Partiers. At least they come right out and speak aloud what has been the unspoken but self-evident agenda of the Reptilians: to benefit their wealthy clientele by attacking every one else's standard of living. The pauperization of the middle class has been no coincidence, but rather the goal of Reptilian policies. They've overseen a transfer of wealth upward. "Trickle down economics" has been a sham perpetrated on the American people; rather, there has been a vacuuming up of wealth to those at the top. The Reptlians have always done their best to strangle the goose that laid the golden egg--the American middle class, which has seen real wages fall precipitiously under their policies. Those policies have benefited only those at the top, and have proved anathema to everyone else and to the economy in general. Americans simply cannot afford to buy what they produce, and now charge to credit what used to be paid for through wages. So Angle, Miller, Paul, et al., when they speak of gutting Social Security, or Medicare, or Unemployment benefits (while extending tax cuts to the wealthy), are expressing openly what has been the stealthy goal of Reptilian policies: to wage class warfare against the many to benefit the few. "Extreme, uncompassionte and non-caring" is an apt description of Reptilian policies, whether spoken or unspoken, and "free market" has become a euphemism for "bend over."
